HouseLens creates full-motion video house tours for realtors to help sell properties, and to grant potential buyers virtual access to properties on the market. The company also provides broker and agent video bios, broker promotional videos, and community videos.
HouseLens’s sales process had been strictly internal, but the company was looking to enlarge its sales base through the development of a portal that real estate agents could access. The company wanted to provide leads to these outside contractors and to sales managers overseeing sales progress. HouseLens was also seeking a more seamless and easily accessible process for adding and displaying products on its site when creating opportunities and orders. Finally, as new Salesforce users, the HouseLens team needed a surefire approach to encouraging rapid user adoption, an essential component to getting the Sales Cloud portal up, running, and functioning effectively.
CRMCulture applied its Starter Kit, implementing Sales Cloud quickly and affordably, and created a custom Communities profile as a portal for real estate agents to directly access the HouseLens Sales Cloud system. To streamline the process for adding products to the HouseLens site, CRMCulture wrote a Visualforce page that looks similar to Excel, and made the page available on Salesforce1. Finally, CRMCulture established additional training steps, custom profiles, and custom service applications for the HouseLens team in order to shorten the learning curve and have the new Sales Cloud system fully operational as quickly as possible.
The new Communities portal increased sales for the company, allowed the HouseLens team to manage outside contractors’ progress with leads, and increased efficiency by eliminating all manual touch points in fulfilling and completing an order. CRMCulture’s custom Visualforce page improved ease of use and made the system available to account executives in the field. Thanks to the measures taken to improve user adoption, there was no lag in Sales Cloud implementation, and HouseLens experienced solid utilization of the new system from the get-go. The company’s Salesforce use continues to grow, as the HouseLens team expands its knowledge and experiences the benefits of the platform.
